About Dan Harralson

Dan Harralson is a native of Fresno County, California who has lived in the area his entire life. He is the proud father of three adult children. Dan attended McLane High School and later Fresno City College, where he took evening classes while working in his father's fiberglass and welding shop. In 1982, Dan graduated from San Joaquin College of Law and started practicing law the following year. 

In 1985, Dan began his own law practice, which has been active for over 38 years. He has focused primarily on providing criminal defense and personal injury representation. Over the years, Dan has also built a reputation as an excellent general civil, medical malpractice, and equine industry counsel. Dan has also been involved in horse partnership and syndication development and management. 

Throughout his career, Dan has represented thousands of clients facing criminal charges in both federal and state courts. Since the mid 1980s, he has been a member of the Federal Defender Panel, an elite group of attorneys selected for their reputation and abilities. Dan represents federal clients facing charges ranging from minor drug crimes, major drug conspiracies, tax fraud, and sex crimes and other federal crimes to and including federal homicide including murder charges. Dan also represents clients charged with state criminal charges, including, but not limited to, simple assaults, domestic violence, driving under the influence, assault with or without a deadly weapon, illegal weapons charges, drug charges, homicide including murder.

Since before his legal career began, Dan has always maintained a keen interest in horses. He has ridden and trained Hunters and Jumpers professionally.Dan served on the Board of Directors of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association for many years.  Dan breeds, raises, trains and develops Thoroughbred horses for racing as well as partnerships for horse racing. Dan continues to be an avid rider currently focusing on developing riding horses which he often takes on cattle drives and pack trips throughout the Western US.
